Meet Amanda Hughes-Luna

Hello! My name is Mrs. Amanda Hughes-Luna, and I am so excited for the opportunity to work with you! I have been a teacher in California, USA since 2011 and a contributing CEDAR teacher since 2023! I have taught both in traditional in-person American classrooms as well as in online platforms and enjoy any opportunity I have to connect with students. I earned my undergraduate degree at USC with the school of Cinematic Arts and hold a Masters Degree in English from National University. I love teaching English, but more than that, I love reading and discussing stories with eager learners!

I currently live in California, only a 10-minute drive away from Disneyland! I enjoy sunny drives down the beach with my husband and daughter, watching movies on cozy rainy days, and of course, reading any chance I get! I look forward to exploring new worlds and characters with you!
